Graduate Learning Consultant
James (he/him) is a 5th year PhD student in Environmental Engineering studying the impact of improved water, sanitation, and hygiene on human health, wealth, and well-being. Much of his research takes place abroad, and he has lived and traveled extensively in Zambia and India. During these trips, he wishes he did more tourism, but mainly takes photographs of pit latrines and does microbiological experiments in his bedroom. He graduated from Harvard with a degree in Applied Mathematics and spent 3 years in management consulting before graduate school. He became a learning consultant because he saw how the corporate world prepared him for graduate school and wants to pass on those skills – oral presentations, managing your adviser, and time management, to others. He has a passion for time management and goal setting and can help you plan anything from your weekly goals to your New Year’s Resolutions.
