Every study hall (with the exception of Virtual Study Halls) comes equipped with snacks, beverages, and coffee to help you stay motivated and efficient. Academic Coaches and Peer Learning Consultants are available to answer your questions and offer feedback. Subject and writing tutors may be available by request. Whether you're an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student - there's a study hall for you!

Who are these study halls for?  Any and all Stanford students. Please avoid grading, emails, social media, and the like during study halls. Any and all Stanford students. Please avoid grading, emails, social media, and the like during study halls.
When do these study halls take place? Periodically during each Quarter—check your inbox for updated scheduling for a current list of study halls and availability. To be added to our academicskills mailing list, please see the contact information below.
Where do these study halls take place? All Virtual Study Halls are conducted via Zoom. Our primary location is Lathrop 282 but depending on availability, the location may change each quarter. 
Are there penalties for no-shows? There are no penalties or fines for no-shows for Virtual Study Halls. However, please sign up only if you can commit to attending the full duration of the Study Hall session.  Please note that there will be a $25 fee for each session missed. Please sign up only if you can commit to attending the full duration of the Study Hall session. Cancellations must be processed through Eventbrite at least 24 hours before the Study Hall to avoid the no-show fee. Full Terms and Conditions are provided during registration.
Will there be snacks and beverages?  Due to the virtual format, we are unable to provide snacks and beverages. However, for every Virtual Study Hall that you attend, you will be automatically entered to win one of several $10 Starbucks gift cards! Gift cards will be distributed twice during Weeks 7 and Week 10 of the Winter Quarter. Students must attend for at least 2 hours to be eligible to be entered in the drawing. There will be beverages and snacks but NO MEALS at Grad Study Halls. Coffee (including decaf) and tea will be the only provided refreshments. We encourage you to plan ahead of time and bring your own snacks or a meal if you would like to supplement or substitute these snacks
Anything else I should know? Due to health concerns about COVID-19, Grad Study Halls have been temporarily suspended. We are offering Virtual Study Halls in its place.
