About this Event

In theory, remote exams are great. You don't have to go to campus, you don't have to change out of your pajamas, and you can undergo the stressful experience from the comfort of your own home.

But in practice, you might find remote exams to be even more stressful than traditional in-person exams. For many, adjusting to taking exams in these new remote settings can be difficult. In this workshop, we will share general strategies for test prep and test-taking, as well as specific strategies for remote exams. Participants are also encouraged to share their own test-taking strategies!

We will discuss strategies for various exam setups, including the following:

  • Timed exams
  • Full-day or multi-day exams
  • Open-book exams
  • Essay-based exams

This workshop is presented as part of the Peer Learning Consultant Program at the Center for Teaching and Learning. For more information about the program and upcoming events, visit studentlearning.stanford.edu.
