
Carmel Limcaoco
Carmel Limcaoco (she/her) is a junior from Manila, Philippines majoring in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. She is also pursuing a minor in Music. On campus, she is involved with the Stanford Human-Computer Interaction Lab, where she works as a research assistant investigating how a novel social media feed algorithm could potentially mitigate antisocial behavior online. She is also involved in Stanford Concert Network, where she acts as an Industry Coordinator. Carmel is particularly excited to explore the intersection of technology and student interests as they pertain to educational experiences. By being a part of the Peer Learning Consultant Program, she is able to cultivate these interests by helping to build innovative tools for enhancing student learning outcomes while contributing to a supportive community of academic growth and accessible education. She hopes to apply what she learns as a part of this program to a future career in building impactful products that solve critical, human problems. In her spare time, Carmel loves to play electric guitar, play bass, DJ, sing, and go thrifting.
