Charlotte Burks
Charlotte Burks (she/her) is a second-year undergraduate student at Stanford studying Classics. She is passionate about arts education, advocacy, and journalism. She grew up in "World's Fruit Basket," Reedley, CA. Her childhood birthed her love of writing and plants. Charlotte loves traipsing around campus with her German Shepherd, Clifford, when he visits from home.
At Stanford, Charlotte spends her time serving as Music Director for Stanford's Counterpoint A Cappella group, as well as writing as a columnist for the Stanford Daily's Arts and Life Section. She has also participated in Stanford's Sprout Up chapter, teaching first and second graders about environmental science. In her free time, Charlotte writes a blog called "Charlie's Web" and plays guitar and violin.
In her position as Copywriter, Charlotte works to enhance awareness for CTL's programming around campus, whether for undergraduates or graduate students. She hopes that as students read announcements and newsletters, they feel welcomed and aware that there are many people and resources available for them. Long-term, Charlotte hopes to work in journalism.
