Kenny Hernandez
Kenny (he/him) is a 3rd year undergraduate from Baltimore, Maryland. He is majoring in Chemical Engineering and looking to minor in Anthropology.
At Stanford, Kenny has found community within the plethora of Latinx organizations such as the Central American Student Association (CASA) and his Stanford Summer Engineering Academy (SSEA) cohort. Outside of the PLCP and his classes, he works with high school students through Matriculate, is an outdoors enthusiast, and loves to go thrifting.
Coming from an under-resourced public high school in Baltimore, Kenny is passionate about education and diversity efforts because he believes it to be vital to the overall upliftment of the communities that he is a part of. He also has witnessed how many BIPOC and FLI students have been almost seemingly shut out of pursuing a career in STEM at Stanford. As Program Coordinator, he hopes to bridge gaps between students and these opportunities through diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
