Melody Fuentes

Engineering Learning Consultant

Melody Fuentes (she/her) is pursuing a M.S. in Computer Science. Her interest surrounds the intersection of cutting-edge digital and physical technology to enhance the quality of life within marginalized communities. In 2024, Melody graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Product Design, where she cultivated a passion for crafting delightful, accessible products that blend thoughtful design with social good. She served as the Director of Internal Relations and DEI within Stanford Women in Business, was a founding leader for Changeists, and was a mentor in the Stanford Society of Latinx Engineers, among other positions. Beyond academics, Melody finds delight in bouldering, experimenting with game design, curating hyper-specific playlists, and tinkering in Stanford’s Product Realization Lab.

As an Engineering Learning Consultant, Melody is excited to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can feel empowered in academia. Melody’s previous leadership experience gave her a deep appreciation for the transformative impact that peer mentorship can have on student confidence and academic success. She is especially passionate about advocating for students from First Generation Low-Income (FLI) and BIPOC backgrounds, recognizing the importance of fostering diversity in education. By guiding students through challenging material and offering tailored support, she aims to cultivate a space where all learners can excel.
