Tim Jones

Graduate Learning Consultant

Tim (he/him) is a third year PhD student in Theater and Performance Studies with intersecting research interests in race, citizenship studies, socio-political choreographies, ethnography, and visual culture. He is primarily interested in Black male body in undervalued movement practices. Prior to studying at Stanford, Tim earned an MFA in Theatre Management and Producing from Columbia University, as well as a BA in English and a BA in Drama from Morehouse College. Outside of his academic work, Tim is involved in homelessness and foster care advocacy.  In his free time, Tim enjoys old school 90’s music, couponing, bodybuilding, photography, and cooking.

Tim is excited to be a resource for the Stanford University community as Graduate Learning Consultant. With eight years work experience between higher education and secondary education as a consultant and senior-level administrator, Tim is eager to utilize his expertise to help nurture and prepare the next generation of scholars for achievement.
