Fatou (she/her) is a second-year student intending to major in Civil Engineering. She is originally from the South Bronx and attended an underserved high school. She is currently a member of the Stanford Debate Society and was a member of the ninth cohort of the Leland Scholars Program (LSP). Fatou’s LSP experience allowed her to develop a deep awareness for the struggles that First-Generation, Low-Income (FGLI) students face as they embark on their undergraduate careers at elite universities. She is also passionate about mental health and sustainability. For fun, Fatou enjoys singing, dancing, and roller skating around campus.
