Ma'ili Yee
Graduate Learning Consultant
Ma’ili (she/her) is a second-year MA student through the Center for East Asian Studies. Her undergraduate research focused on issues regarding the sovereignty of indigenous peoples, particularly Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. Her masters research involves China’s economic, political and security objectives in the Central and South Pacific, especially in connection with the Belt and Road initiative. Ma’ili chose to be a learning consultant to share valuable skills and campus resources she has learned through knowledgeable classmates, Stanford staff and faculty and through her job as a residential assistant. She is excited to help other students to help them make the most of their time at Stanford. Ma’ili enjoys to surf and play rugby during her free time.
