Chris Puntasecca

Chris Puntasecca, MD (he/him) is an alum of the Stanford School of Medicine. As an undergraduate, Chris studied Chemistry and Classics at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at Holy Cross, Chris was a four-year varsity athlete and competed as a pole vaulter and decathlete on the track & field team. Through this experience, he saw the unique demands placed on student-athletes as well as the challenges of time management while balancing training, competition, and class work. By working as a Peer Academic Coach and Lead Learning Consultant, Chris assisted students in navigating some of these challenges during their undergraduate and graduate careers. During his time at Stanford, he was engaged in global health research, studying the worldwide burden of Zika and chikungunya viruses. He was also a member of the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program. Chris is now pursuing a career as an emergency medicine physician, beginning his residency at the University of Chicago in June 2023.
